Tom Calderwood
I am a "retired" corporate photographer. I worked for Big Oil at a large refinery on the U.S. West Coast, and would photograph and video large or unique live events, document equipment or events (both good and bad), do "head shots", training materials, the works. A one-man shop. I retired in 2017 and moved from Southern California to East Tennessee.

My passion for photography also spills over into some of my other passions:
Pyrotechnics: I helped to shoot professional fireworks shows for 15 years. I am active in the Western Pyrotechnic Association and Pyrotechnic Guild International (hobbyist groups) and try to contribute regularly. I am after good, clear, colorful images that make me go Ooooh and Aaaaah!
Aviation: I love aircraft - specifically WW2 warbirds and racing. As such, you'll see a lot of images from the Chino Air Show in Southern California and the Reno Air Races in Reno, Nevada.
Nature: We live in a wonderful world where nature is all around us. We just need to look. I shoot 24 hours a day at times - especially around the "Golden" and "Indigo" hours.
Married for 45 years, 5 kids, 2 grandkids. I shoot Nikon equipment (D850, D500) and a variety of lenses. My editing workflow is Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. My heart has been giving me problems, so I have to limit what I do. Add to that, knees that need some work - but only if/when the heart allows.
